A 30-Day Brain Upgrade Plan
In the app: The 30-day program itself, the Weekly Reset, returning without guilt
50 minutes in the book, 15 in the app.
Chapter 1 describes a rhythm of about 50 minutes of focus followed by a 10-minute renewal break. That's where you're heading, not where you start.
The app begins at 15 minutes, because a short block you actually do trains focus more than a long one you put off. Week 1 is about showing up. From week 2 the app suggests 40 to 50 minutes, and it lengthens or shortens blocks based on how your last ones felt.
In the book's words.
“Focus is not a trait. It is a trainable skill.”
“Neuroplasticity does not punish inconsistency. It rewards returning.”
“Biology always wins. The wise learn to cooperate with it.”
“Presence is not slowness. It is precision.”
“Your brain becomes what you train it to attend to.”
Book and app, together.
The book ends with a 30-day plan and a warning: knowledge alone does not transform a life. Applied knowledge does. The app runs that plan on a goal of your own: 30 days, one focus block a day, and the book's practices around it.
Most of it happens at your desk: focus blocks, renewal breaks, the one-minute reset, single-tasking, starting small and the Weekly Reset. Sleep, movement and food appear as optional daily foundations, not rules.
